Jodi Lis provides technical and managerial oversight for GLP partnerships and activities. She directs and supports projects that use the portal for collaboration activities such as hosting discussions on an educational topic, creating an online space to share materials on specific topics, and networking with other educators. For GLP partners, she develops work plans to use the portal, trains them on the functionalities and use of GLP, and coordinates the implementation of the activities. She provides guidance on implementing ICT in education and plans workshops to train teachers on integrating ICT in teaching and learning at all educational levels.
Prior to joining GLP in 2007, Jodi lived in The Gambia for over a dozen years working in the fields of development, business and education. She managed a USAID-funded private sector development project and owned a tourist shop specializing in supporting locally made products. Jodi also founded an organization to promote the use of technology in Gambian schools, set up computer programs at primary schools, taught IT at an international school, and trained teachers to use computers for local and international technology programs. She has conducted workshops on the use of ICT throughout Africa, including Cape Verde, Kenya, Benin and Ghana.
Jodi has degrees from the University of Massachusetts, London School of Economics, and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She has a working knowledge of French.
