Steven Ehrenberg

Program Manager

Steven Ehrenberg designs and oversees the implementation of country-level education technology initiatives. He provides technical expertise in crafting cost-effective, demand-driven, and realistic ICT-oriented educational programs with a focus on improving teacher preparation. He also performs education technology needs assessments, conducts end-user trainings, and manages field staff. Current GLP initiatives under his direction include the Afghanistan Higher Education Project (HEP) and the Rwanda Education Commons (REC).

Steven has over 10 years of experience in the design and use of dynamic, interactive media for educational purposes. Prior to joining GLP, he co-created Scholastic News Online, winner of several Golden Lamp Awards for educational publishing, where he conceived, wrote, and edited numerous multimedia education modules. He also helped launch the Scholastic News Press Corps, a network of student journalists whom he trained, edited, and published.

Steven earned a B.A. in English literature from Williams College, an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University, and is completing an Ed.D. in International Educational Development at Columbia University Teachers College, with a focus on education policy.
