Who Should Join GLP and Why?
What Benefits do GLP Programs Provide? Connecting Users, Hearing the Unheard: GLP programs make it possible to connect classroom teachers, teacher educators, policy-makers, NGOs, government, vendors, parents, and other stakeholders in new, collaborative ways. The ability for often ignored voices to be able to contribute will transform education, especially in remote areas, by providing them access and input into current education thinking and materials. Leveraging the expertise of its members and partner organizations, including their core business competencies and their understanding of challenges confronting educators and issues facing education reform activities. It deploys its partners' collective experience using technology to solve problems to improve teaching and learning to reinforce education outcomes and leverage resources. Maximizing investments to improve the longevity and accessibility. Many donors have funded a number of education projects over the years, sometimes with overlapping outcomes. However, usually the research findings, materials, and recommendations of these projects are lost once the three- or four-year project is over and the staff disperses. To meet these challenges, GLP developed a system to ensure that materials, curricula, reports, and resources are stored in an easy-to-use searchable archive for creative use and re-use to encourage localization and iterative improvement. GLP complements other education information sources by compiling and disseminating the information to the user community in multiple formats. It can expand to accommodate many users, many online communities, and many topics of interest. Who Benefits from GLP Programs? Individual Members of program communities who will enjoy unique networking opportunities as well as access to content and training opportunities in a secure, private space that can be customized.
