GLP Senior Technical Advisers are international education and technology experts. Supplementing the core GLP staff with years of experience, our advisers leverage past investments in education through collaboration technologies and a robust alliance of educators and education stakeholders. In all of our work, our Senior Technical Advisers offer context specific, well- tested guidelines to create demand- driven, appropriate solutions that empower educators by connecting them to resources, latest thinking, useful technology, a community of education champions, and one another.

Robert Schware

Managing Director

Dr. Robert Schware is Managing Director of the Global Learning Portal (GLP), supervising development of the GLP’s worldwide educator network, directing country-level engagement, and coordinating the development and expansion of the open GLP Alliance. Rob works with his diverse and talented staff to ensure that GLP and ICT activities in the field are aligned with national education goals and meet the expectations of donors.

Patrick Meriweather

Senior Business Development Manager

Patrick’s role is to build an alliance of partner institutions including corporations, foundations, and public sector agencies to support GLP's work and expansion through engagements that include donations, materials, and volunteerism.

Steven Ehrenberg

Program Manager

Steven Ehrenberg designs and oversees the implementation of country-level education technology initiatives. He provides technical expertise in crafting cost-effective, demand-driven, and realistic ICT-oriented educational programs with a focus on improving teacher preparation. He also performs education technology needs assessments, conducts end-user trainings, and manages field staff. Current GLP initiatives under his direction include the Afghanistan Higher Education Project (HEP) and the Rwanda Education Commons (REC).

Melissa Beuoy

Digital Librarian

Melissa Beuoy is responsible for keeping information on the GLP website fresh and interesting by keeping abreast of current events and issues in international education. As part of GLP's core, Melissa stays in close communication with the local GLP communities and helps them share information on current activities through GLP.net. Melissa works with various GLP projects on their content strategy and trains GLP communities on computer and information literacy skills.

Evan Case

Systems Analyst

Evan is responsible for maintaining and improving GLP's Linux and Unix server infrastructure, planning for future infrastructure and technology, and forming overall technology strategies. He also monitors, analyzes, and reports usage data for GLP web sites.

Veronica Erb

Senior Technical Associate

Veronica provides web development and graphic design support to GLP. She gathers website requirements from clients and team members, codes changes to the appearance and layout of GLP sites, and delivers other requests to the web manager and contractors.

Hameeda Hameed

Program Associate

Hameeda is responsible for identifying and acquiring high-quality education materials for Afghan educators associated with the Afghanistan Higher Education project (HEP). She finds and uploads high-quality teaching materials in English, Pashto and Dari to the portal, and works closely with the Afghan professors and Afghanistan Higher Education Project team.
