GLP deploys and supports collaborative technology to connect users, members, and partners to share knowledge, create and re-use materials, and share ideas and experience. A strong focus on partnership is an essential element of all of GLP’s work. For example, in Rwanda, Mindset Network – A South African content developer – provided free digital resources that can be localized for Rwanda and is training a cadre of experts in digital content management.
GLP staff has a deep understanding of how collaboration technology can be used for improving educational outcomes through approaches including capacity building, teacher training, stakeholder consensus building, and materials archival.
- We spot opportunities with in traditional education reform activities for collaboration technology to expand and sustain the development investment.
- We ensure that materials are localized and seek out partnerships with local technology and other businesses to promote sustainability.
- We also bring an understanding of variety of international (Afghanistan to Palestine) and user contexts to our initiatives and customize them appropriately.
- And, we ensure that our programs employ user-centered approaches and design methods including industry-standard web development models for development, stability and change management.
