GLP to Remain Open to All Educators From 2002-2011, USAID and other funders supported the Global Learning Portal with the aim of harnessing the power of the Web for the benefit of teachers and learners all over the world. In the early days of the Internet, USAID's innovative approach to harness the power of educators worldwide was visionary, paving the way for the many education portals that exist today. In July 2011, FHI 360 took responsibility for maintaining the GLP for the benefit of educators around the world, at no cost to the United States Government. Read more about the change here.
