This week, the Global Campaign for Education, with the support of UNESCO, seeks to raise awareness of the dire need for increased education funding in order to meet Education For All goals. This year's theme is "Financing Quality Public Education: A Right for All," and more than 100 countries across the globe will participate in this week's events and activities.

To attract the attention of governments and donors to the need for increased funding, a variety of events will take place. On 20 April, UNESCO's Associated Schools will participate in the world's largest school lesson, "1GOAL: Lesson for All." This lesson will address the issue of quality public education as a human right, and examine the current financial challenges in meeting EFA goals.
